The rankings are calculated based on contest results over a rolling 36-month period and the ranking points tally is effectively a weighted average of the points earned per contest. The number of contests actually played by each band varies a lot though but the 'busiest band in Britain' title (for contests, at least) goes to Tredegar, with an incredible 25 contests over the last 3 years!

The current top-100 ranked bands includes 18 bands with a minimum of 15 contest appearances during the 3-year rankings period as follows:
